One-Way Car Rentals from Galveston
Galveston is a great place to rent a car. There are also several places to rent a car from George Bush International Airport (IAH). Look for the Consolidated Rental Car Facility at IAH where you will find several national car rental agencies. William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) also has several car rental agencies. In both cases, you will find car rental agencies with drop off availability in Galveston. Another consideration in the Galveston area is limousine service which frequently provides transportation between Houston airports and the Galveston cruise terminals at rates significantly less expensive than car rental and taxi services. (Bear in mind that both IAH and HOU are roughly an hour and a half from the Galveston cruise terminal, despite the fact that HOU is geographically closer to Galveston.)
